Design Notes
No particular design considerations were taken as the sequence was mostly taken from UniProt. The Talaromyces funiculosus organism's PHB depolymerase was chosen as it only depolymerized PHB into the monomer BHB and no dimers or trimers would be formed. Additionally, the Talaromyces funiculosus's PHB depolymerase functions in the extracellular space, and hence would not require cell lysis for the extraction of BHB.
